Description
Source photography was oblique raw frames from an A3 Edge camera system (SLFs). Imagery was captured on 22nd January 2022 by the contractor (not DELWP data). Supplementary source photography was used from the photomesh component of this project, captured on the 3rd February 2022 using Digital SLR image frames captured at 2-3cm GSD. The 3D building and bridge objects were modelled using stereo mapping from oblique aerial imagery with vertical roof geometry extruded down and cut such that it fully intersects the 1m digital elevation model from the 2017-18 Greater Melbourne Lidar project. Three feature classes were created with the following Levels Of Detail (LOD): Building: • Sunshine Activity Centre (1.22 km²) at LOD2.2 F1 Textured • Sunshine Transport Precinct excl. Sunshine Activity Centre (11.13 km²) at LOD2.2 F1 Untextured • Sunshine NEIC excl. Sunshine Transport Precinct (19.51 km²) at LOD1.2 F1 H5 Untextured Bridge: • Sunshine NEIC (31.85 km² total) at LOD2 Tunnel Portal: • Sunshine NEIC (31.85 km² total) at LOD1 Within the Sunshine Transport District, LOD2.2 F1 building models on commercial area high streets had awnings added (LOD 2.3 facades) and conjoined buildings were separated by property base using geometry (non-cookie-cutter).

The untextured Object Models are consistent with respect to the visual representation of buildings/bridges and elevation values. Building skirts fully intersect the 2017-18 Greater Melbourne Lidar 1m DEM where obvious earthmoving works have not occurred in the interim. Building placement is consistent with the 10cm 2021-22 Greater Melbourne Multi-epoch Spring imagery where obvious construction has not occurred in the interim.

Complete for the entire Sunshine NEIC area (untiled). Features such as bridges that extend beyond the boundary have also been modelled in their entirety. Higher specification subsets are complete for their respective Sunshine Transport Precinct and Sunshine Activity Centre sub-AOIs.
